Can't connect wirelessly in vista 32bit (network controller)

by kozmik_charley / April 5, 2009 12:27 PM PDT

I had Vista 64 on my HP Pavilion Elite and everything worked fine. Never had a problem being wireless. Had to switch to Vista 32 bit for a job and now I can't connect. Network adapter is ok but in "Other Devices" it shows a yellow "!" and no matter what I do I can't resolve this problem. Any suggestions would make me eternally grateful...

Did you use HP restore media or Microsoft's OS DVD?
by R. Proffitt Forum moderator / April 5, 2009 12:32 PM PDT

HP has about 10 drivers to install after you use Microsoft's DVD or else you get that issue. Head to hp.com and hit the chat button and ask where the drivers are and what order to install them for your machine.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
