can't connect using wi-fi

Can anyone tell me whats the problem and how am I suppose to fix it... I juz bought a dell mini laptop inspiron 910, windows xp home edition sp3, intel atom n270, 1g of ram, then suddenly I cant connect to the internet wirelessly. After I checked the device manager there is an unknown device know as network controller...is it the problem?

"juz bought" = warranty.

Since it's juz bought you don't have to do anything except exercise your warranty.
