Question

Can't connect to Messenger; says gateway is offline

by SuzyQ2881 / April 8, 2012 3:58 PM PDT

I'm having an issue with my laptop. Can't access internet unless I am connected to Messenger. When I try to connect, I keep getting a pop-up box that tells me I can't connect and to "troubleshoot". When I do, I get an "exclamation point" in a yellow flag telling me that I have no "gateway". It says it is "offline". Can anyone help me? I am VERY computer dumb! Never used one before I retired, and just started using one recently. Happy
