Resolved Question

Can't Connect Samsung 6410 TV to Bluetooth Headphones

Mar 3, 2015 1:11AM PST

I have bluetooth headphones that connect with my Samsung Galaxy and Sony Xperia phones, and computer without any problem. The Samsung TV UE32H6410SSXXC connects to a Wi-Fi router, to the Galaxy phone and also to a bluetooth keyboard, but I am unable to connect it to the bluetooth headphones.

Any help will be most welcome with thanks.

Most often we need to add a bluetooth audio transmitter.

So far, TVs have yet to implement bluetooth audio for many many reasons. So depending on the TV we add a bluetooth audio transmitter (too many to list here) to the headphone jack. If no headphone jack we get the usual optical to analog box.

Not much new to add here but to note that folk today are expecting far more from TVs. They grew up with a PC so they expect a lot more.

Thank you for your half-idea. I say this because I agree on what you say about TVs and Bluetooth, but you might give me a hand and tell me about those "too many" transmitter because after a long research based on what you posted I came to two conclusions: 1st, what i need is a TosLink converter with a Bluetooth transmitter; 2nd, You say there are too many, but I found only one, the TosBlue X, for $69, and I would like to have a coice, this is if you know of a few more, please.

Answer
SoundShare
Mar 3, 2015 6:02PM PST

Samsung bluetooth audio, know as SoundShare, is on available on some TV, and home theature models, and IIRC, has been around since 2012. SoundShare, only works for other select Samsung audio products. Your TV's on screen guide will provide you with a list. But non-Samsung device such as headphones, etc, will never connect via bluetooth.

Don't agree

Sorry, but my TV is not so very far from the top, even if with a rather small screen, a 2014 model, and it does not have SoundShare. Further more, the bluetooth is there, but does not connect with everything of the brand and does work with my keyboard, which is not Samsung. Please do not ask me to explain why because I don't even understand why. What I think is that they ship them with remote controls that can control other appliances like sound systems, fridgers and washing machines, but I can't even connect a bluetoothg headphone directly to the TV.
