can't click icons on desktop

Aug 21, 2007 10:36AM PDT

i've been having this issue for awhile now.....i can't seem to be able to select of double click any icons in the upper middle area of the screen. when i try to right click it gives me a firefox flip down menu - as if i were right clicking on a webpage in firefox. i can't seem to fix this, i've tried registry scanners, scanned for spyware, and ran virus scan and everything seems to be clean. i'm not sure how to fix this, and its definitely a nuisance.

any ideas?

here are my system specs:
dell 1505 laptop
2ghz intel core 2 duo
2gb of ram
windows xp media center edition

jedione, Go to the link below and scroll down to line 12 (left column) and click on "EXE (lnk and regfile) Fix for Windows XP" to download a reg file fix. Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it and answer yes to the import prompt.
