I run 4 laptops at home (all wireless). I set all the power management into going Standby after 2 hour.
I notice that evertime I left it long (like 6 hours) on standby mode, I'd have problem with the wireless. The wireless icon would still say that it's "connected". But when I open my IE and tried to go to an address, it fails (like no conncection). I tried to disconnect and reconnect and still get me nowhere. I have to restart the whole system and get it back to normal.
This problem is not just on one notebook but all 4 notebooks I run in my house have the same issue.
Am I missing a setting or something else here ?
I mean, doing restart after standby pretty much kill the purpose of putting the system on standby in the first place.
Of all notebooks are with XP Pros and Homes. 512-1G RAM. Pentium M, AMD Athlon and Turion. All these connected wireless to my Motorola wireless router.
Another thing, I just made my wirelees connection secured a couple months ago. Would this have anything to do with "waking up from standby" process?
Any ideas, suggestions will be appreciated.
