can't adapt a word user form template

by MrMdMax / July 29, 2009 5:03 PM PDT

I downloaded a sample word template that has a user friendly form that creates a word document based on the form, but every time I try to adapt or change the original document and/or try to save the template under a new .dot name the macros immediately stop working, even if I only change a single word of the original. What am I doing wrong?

Have you opened up the Macro "code" and dissected how it works?

It could depend on the filename or what you changed.

I can change the look of the pop-up form or even the code, and the changes will be saved when I rename the form, but the the simple template document that it creates won't allow me to save changes to it.

If I change the heading of the second (msword) document from cd computing to my computing, and try to save it, when the new file is run the pop up form stops working.
