Can't access secured files.....HELP!!!!

Mar 15, 2004 6:58AM PST

Hey guys,
My XP PRO has gotton corrupt and it wont boot into windows. I had a password in my account to log in. So I slaved the drive onto another system and the files that I want to access were on my desktop. It says "access denied" to these files. I want to know if there is any way to bypass this password protection, or are my files lost. If you could help me in any way I would appreciate it. Thanks.

You might want to contact Microsoft. I seem to remember reading that they can do something about this. You might have to take it in somewhere, or they send you something, I can't remember. It is caused by the NTFS file system automatically protecting files. Good luck
