I do not know if this package is still available, but it is a bargain for the price:

You could sell one of the two telephoto lenses and the printer if you don't want or need them, bringing your net cost way down. I personally would sell the filter as well. You would need to buy an intervalometer for time lapse photography; those can be purchased for under $50.
I am studying abroad this fall and I am finally able to upgrade to a DSLR. I am a Fine Arts major and have been practicing film photography and some digital photography for the past 5 years, so I know much of the ins and outs of camera specs.
I am looking for a DSLR body/lens kit that is preferably less than $900 with some specific features that I am interested in. These include a time lapse feature and a multiple exposure feature. I would like a camera with an excellent noise profile, and also 1080 HD filming. I also like the newer compact DSLRs that I have seen coming out, but I figure those are pretty expensive.
Basically, I want one that would be a good first DSLR for an art student to experiment with.
My last camera was a full body Nikon P90 that was stolen, and I haven't had my own digital camera since (about two years!!), so I have solely relied on my wonderful Canon T70 (:
If anyone can help me out with ideas, it would be greatly appreciated!
Tips and suggestions are always appreciated!
