Hello, I have attached two photos so perhaps someone can easily verify what the exact name of this device is .

To make a long story short , my family owns a hp p6 series , our landlord let's us use their WiFi , and we were able to do so via this mini adapter that is connected to a cable which goes inside of the tower somewhere ..
(I would like to apologies if this description is kind of vague)
The other day my mother was vacuuming And accidently knocked over the tower and needless to say this wife adapter (I'll call for now) came unattached as a result of it..

I opened up our tower but had little to luck figuring out where anything went.. If someone can push me in the right direction any sort of.help would be greatly appreciated because as of now we are totally blank Lol

But I'd hit hp.com and see if the model p6's user or service manual sheds any light on that. The thing is, that doesn't look stock to the HP p6. I didn't find such on a p6 so maybe someone added it later.

Hmmmm, something like an old FM booster from the days of yore...but seriously, I've NEVER seen such, my curiosity is piqued...

I didn't share this.

https://www.google.com/#q=hp+p6 finds dozens of P6 models so that's why I think they need to hit HP.com for the manual on their specific model.

Yes, looks like the antenna but to what?

Good question, I remember seeing something like that sitting on the dashboard of a Buick years back...not sure what to make of it.

WiFi antenna

You have what's left of some wifi antenna setup. The end with nothing present was "ripped out" from the simple clip-on type connection. Since, you mentioned it was routed to inside then the location should have a small remnant of the wire harness or yet the clip-n segment is loose in case or fallen elsewhere or small remnant remains attached. You have some type of wifi card or connection for sure. You need to buy a SMC type(female) that will connect and re-use the antenna portion with its small cable to fix or re-attach. You can't really expect to fix that broken cable. The cost of the replacement is minor, IMHO. Of course, you can totally remove and install an USB type wifi setup. You will need to remove the wifi card currently present in order to do that. Google away for either solution to purchase.

snap a couple photos of the inside and post them. Most likely was attached to some card inserted into a slot, or an internal USB device stuck on a USB header.
