can ppl who'v been invited to Gmail invite other people?

I have just got an invite for me to use Gmail, I was just wondering if I'm allowed to invite other ppl to use Gmail even tho I was invited in the first place.

Yes. After you've been using Gmail for awhile, you will recieve a few invites that you can distribute to people. Just be patient. This was also answered in the Help pages Google set up for Gmail.

i hope you know what's the catch with gmail, they are allowed to scan your emails for keywords like "mp3" and then send you spam about it.i remember when i had an account u used to recieve 500 email with nothing but spam

I've had a Gmail account for probably 2-3 months now, and I've yet to get a single spam message. Of course I'm picky about giving out that address. The text ads are based on keywords in your messages, but what exactly is wrong with that? I'd prefer that over random banner ads, or god forbid a Flash ad (thank god for the AdBlock Mozilla extension).
