Can Outlook 2007 run with Office XP?

We would like to upgrade the Outlook clients if possible but are not ready to upgrade the rest of the office suite. Can these two run together?

you can install components of Office separately from the Office CD, and generally mixed configurations work correctly (although Office Update gets confused: doesn't update older versions anymore and wants to update components of later versions you didn't install).

Why not try it? System Restore is your friend if it doesn't work. Be sure to have a backup of the .pst files, just in case.
