Question

Can only type a few charactors, then have to reset cursor

Nov 3, 2012 10:03PM PDT

Can't type in Word or even search Google. This thread required 29 "restarts". Is this a security issue? Something with my pop up blocker? I restarted the computer. Time change was today.

I have a 3 month old Samsung laptop with Windows. This just started today.

Resolved - Thanks :-)

I appreciate everybody jumping in to help!

I have had laptops before. The cursor actually disappears and then "locks up". Nothing can be typed anywhere. I restarted it twice, and after the second time it seems to be resolved. Weird.

What do you mean "reset cursor"?

Is your cursor jumping to another spot? Have you had a laptop before? New laptop owners sometimes accidentally are brushing the touchpad when they type with their thumbs or base of hand. You can try plugging in an external keyboard and see if it still happens.
