Question

Can only copy from SD card, not cut

Apr 11, 2018 8:03PM PDT

Hi There,

Before I could always cut files from my SD card and now for some reason I can only copy them.

It is the case with two separate SD cards and they are not physically 'locked' as i tried that already.

I am running Windows 10 on a Dell.

Please help!

Does sound as if write protected.

Did you copy every file out then format a card?

Do these cards work on other PCs?

https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/3548-enable-disable-disk-write-protection-windows.html shows this can be done via a few other methods (software and/or OS settings.)

There are some thousand posts about this so I picked just two of the more common causes.
Be sure to try some SD card reader in the USB ports too,.
