I am using XP Pro. and I installed so many program in different time. But when I try to arrange the program in the start menu, I can't right click. So I can't see the Sort By File.

Could U help me to find out right clik, so I can arrange my program nicely.

It sounds like you may be encountering system file problems. Click start and admin tools then event viewer and look at both application and system folders. You may need to insert the XP CdRom and run a system file repair. It won't wipe any of your files as long as you don't do a complete reinstall. Good luck!

The article [Q177482 explains that shortcuts and folders may not be in alphabetical order and that new shortcuts created may be added to the bottom of the menu which occurs when you have manually rearranged shortcuts and folders on either the Start or on the Favorites menu, or when you installed a new program.

Note: This manual manipulation causes Windows to add an "Order" key in the system registry that you must remove in order to revert to the default sort process (alphabetical) -- any folder which you have personally manipulated previously will have this "Order" key added. Simply follow the instructions in this article to find and delete each "Order" key found.
