I have a Dell Demension 2400 and windows xp home edition service pack two. Explorer shows both drives but does not display any data. The message I get is please insert a CD ROM into the drive. I have checked all the drivers. In additon, all the diagnostics say the drive is functioning corectly. Nervertheless, I can not use either the disk drive or the CD ROM. When I put a CD ROM into the drive the lights come on and it appears that the drive is reading the information but nothing comes up in the display in explorer.
