Can not print while surfing 'net

Jul 21, 2007 5:27AM PDT

Computer: Dell E510, XP Home, wireless USB adapter to DSL, H-P multi-function 4240 connected via USB. Problem: while surfing, can not print, or while printing can not access internet. Conflict in USB works somewhere. Check hardware manager, no conflicts. Plugged printer into different USB port, no change. Purchased new wireless USB adapter, no change. Suggestions, please.

Can not print & surf (are all the)

The computer is about two years old and unmodified from Dell. The wireless adapter is new two weeks ago; new software installed. The printer is three weeks old; new software installed. As stated, the wireless internet works flawlesly as does the printer. They just don't work together, at the same time. To surf, the printer must be turned off so the wireless adapter can communicate with the router. To print, you just have to not wish to surf the 'net.
