can not figure out what happen and other question

by sham1313 / November 3, 2008 10:00 AM PST

I do have windows vista but not sure if I should ask the 1st question I have witch is about my avg virus scanner, but here goes. I went to start a virus scan of my computer and notice some of the component were missing. I tried to update and could not. it said it had a error but did not say what it was. I unstalled then reinstalled the avg and it is working fine. I did forget to tell you it said one site was a warring but it had no virus. don't know if that had any thing to do with the trouble or not. there does not seem to be any trouble with the avg virus scanner now. just cannot figure out why that happen. can anyone one tell me why that happen?

a few other questions. I was told that Netscape was not a good browzer to use any more because sites do not support it. is that true? there our two browzer on this computer Netscape and IE 7. IE 7 I have been told that it is real easy for hackers to get your personal information. is that true? also would like to know what a good browzer to use other then Netscape. IE 7 or firefox?
thanks sham1313

Quick answers...

1.) Sometimes a glitch occurs, a file gets corrupted, an update fails, etc. As long as it's working now...

2.) Netscape has been 'retired' is no longer actively developed...those who last worked on the project recommend switching to Firefox or Flock.

3.) Internet Explorer is indeed more of a security risk than Firefox and Opera, but I wouldn't say 'real easy' as it has come a long way.

4.) I prefer Firefox, but that's up to you...try a few and see what you like.
