I have two DVD rewriters, they both work perfectly when I put in anykind of dvd or cd. However when I want to burn a cd or dvd of any kind, they will not recognise that a cd is present. I can not find a way to get around this. I thought perhaps the cd's or dvd's needed to be formatted, but can not find a way to do this either. Can anybody please help

Why should this OS report a CD/DVD if it's blank?

Think it over. Research that DVD writer support in this OS. (There isn't any!)

-> Here's the answer. Install, learn to use DVD creation software.
