General discussion

can not access IE or Mozilla

Jan 8, 2005 12:28AM PST

I have 3 computers networked and all were running fine until I started getting a runtime error on one computer. I installed Mozilla/Foxfire and ran AVG...removed 14 Trojan viruses..

Now I cannot connect to the Internet either through Mozilla or IE..I am using Windows 98 SE.

I am getting Error 7323..C:Windows\lsl.com as a bad file name...One or more transport drivers failed to load..cannot find lsl....ODI/NDIS3 Mapper Initialization failure.

I tried unchecking the lsl. file in Autoexec. but that didnt help.

I am also seeing a Windows\System\prutict.exe file in Autoexec that is not on my other computers. What is that?

I have reinstalled Windows...removed and reinstalled Mozilla...HELP!! I really need my puter to work.

by one of the trojans that you got rid of so you should probably visit a HijackThis forum seeing as you had so many on that computer. This thread from the Virus and Securitites forum will tell you where to get HijackThis, how to make a log and where to post it. Please do NOT actually delete anything with HijackThis because you may delete something that you don't want to delete.
Good,luck.

I cant get to that site from the computer with the problem since I cant even get online on it.

I am on a networked computer that is still OK but the one that is not working is my main one.

Any ideas of how I can get online on it?

Use the good computer

and follow the directions at the download site for the HijackThis tool and download it onto a CD or a floppy, then install it on the computer that can't get on line and run the tool to make the log and copy the log to the good computer and bring it to the HijackThis forum. It's small and will fit on a floppy.
