My friend told me that his Internet Service Provider shut off his internet and when he called they told him the reason they did it is because he downloaded stuff via the BitTorrent. What was shocking to me is that they actually told him what was downloaded on his computer. In light of that I have a question.
Can my ISP (I'm with Qwest DSL) access and/or see files on my computer via their connection? And if the answer is yes, how to protect against it?
PS. I want to point out that I'm not talking about files that I download, but the ISP accessing my HDD like if I was on a network with them.
