It's possible that the OS will install but you may find you want more such as sound or more display support than the OS provides.
Today I'm finding folk unaware that sound was an addon to Windows years ago. This OS didn't have sound at first!

My HP Pavilion 7620n (Intel Core Solo 1.8 GHz, 250 GB SATA hard drive) desktop has Windows XP and is Vista capable. Can I install Windows 7 on this pc? (HP sites says Windows Vista with service pack 1 or 2 must be installed first).
