Question

Can I use wireless WIFI router in USA for my German tablet?

I want to buy the Galaxy S2 SM-T719N tablet from Germany and use it here in the USA, can I do this? Another question. I want to use a SIM card and portable WIFI router, can I do this in the USA? Is that what GSM is for, an unlocked tablet? In Germany I had a portable wireless router and I paid for monthly wifi when I wanted, per month. THIS is what I want here in the USA. A portable wireless wifi connection with my tablet. Problem is I can not find a warranty for a tablet with GSM. So I want to order a tablet from Germany, and have a wifi connection with wireless router. Can I do this in the USA? Maybe I do not understand something here, but I would like to get a new tablet NOW, have been researching this and am going nuts after hours and hours of reading. Can someone give an answer, can someone help here?! Danke, thank you, Dante
PS Here are some of the specs for it: Connectivity Type 11, 54
WLAN Typ 802.11B, 802.11G, 802.11n
Model Number: SM-T719NZKEDBT

And vice versa.

802.11a/b/c/g/n/ac is a standard. If you are worried about channels, the routers in the US use a sub set of channels so this is all gut. For the US model in Germany I only have to change a setting in the tablet to use other than US limited bands.

HOWEVER. GSM is not WiFi. Please use google with the following phrases.
What is WiFi?
What are WiFi channels?
What is GSM?

No matter what country I buy in, I can reset the bands

Thank you! I appreciate the Info.
So no matter if I buy a tablet in Germany, or USA, its as simple as changing a setting, to use other bands in other countries.....Danke

Answer
It doesn't matter

WiFi communication channel standard is a global standard, no problem

Only if you ignore the USA channel restrictions.

Add that to your list of caveats.
