Looking at the detailed specs for this monitor at Samsung's website (found here--> http://www.samsung.com/ph/consumer/monitor-peripherals-printer/monitor/lcd-monitor/LS23CFUKFV/ZA/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=specification )
I see no reason why you couldn't. After all...TV's are also called monitors. I think it has more to do with the available rear hook-ups than anything and this monitor seems to have them.
They also state this..."With 2 HDMI, it can be connected to variety of AV devices such as Game Console, DVD player, Camcorder, Home Theater as well as computers with high resolution Contents such as 1080P.".....on the "FEATURES" page at their site. So, with most cable/satellite boxes equipped with HDMI outputs these days, you should have no issues.
Hope this helps.
Is there a reason i shouldn't use a moniter as a tv. And yes this moniter has a tv tuner. Thanks
