Can I use my PC as a telephone answerng machine

by Learner7 / July 20, 2007 10:17 PM PDT

I have broadband, and also an inbuilt modem. Can I use my PC as an answering machine, and fax machine, and is there any software for this purpose. Would I use the modem, or the broadband connection?

Voice Modem?
by Learner7 / July 22, 2007 9:35 PM PDT

Its a fax modem it says on the box it came out of, can't find anything about voice on it. I have had a search for modems and also at software, and wondering how difficult it is to set up?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
