Can I use my Digital Camera as a Webcam?

Dec 11, 2004 7:11AM PST

Is there software that would allow me to do this? It is a gateway digital camera.

It takes more than software to accomplish that.
The camera has to have the ability built-in.

If it can be used as a webcam, that information will be in the owners manual, and it would have come with the appropriate drivers.

Most likely it can not.

That became popular several years ago but camera makers abandoned the idea after webcams became so inexpensive. You can find webcams for under $20.
