Can I use more than 4GB ram on mynotebook?

Hi everyone
I want to use more than 4 GB ram on my notebook (Hp Pavilion dv5 1070ee)
is that possible?
I heard that more than 4 GB ram is not usable on a notebook is that right?

Re more than 4 GB RAM

That depends on 2 things:
1. Your OS. You'll need a 64 bit OS to be able to use more than 4 GB.
2. The machine. The memory finder at crucial.com (it asks the details of the notebook) will tell you the options.

Well with that model your processor is

probably 64 bit. Now if you have a 64 bit OS then on that model you can probably use up to 8 GB of ram.
