Can i use an ATA 150 HDD if my original HDD is Ata/100?

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to upgrade my laptop's Hard drive. My Acer Aspire 5050 does not have enough hd capacity for me. It only has 80GB of space.
I want to upgrade to a REALLy BIG capacity hdd. The Hard drive i have is Ata/100 and i can not find any 200gb or 250gb Hd that is ata/100. The closest one is 250gb Ata/150 (model # WD2500BEVS). I wonder if this is compatible with my laptop.
If not, can someone tell me where i can find a hdd with my requested descriptions?)

Acer Aspire 5050 3759
AMD Turion 64 Mobile Technology MK-36 (2.0GHZ, 512kb L2 cache)
Windows Vista Home Premium
256MB ATI Radeo Xpress 1100 Hyper Memory
1gb DDR2
DVD Super Multi double layer drive

Thanks!
