i think the main difference is that if you view the readme of Panotools it specifies Win32 and I dont have it on 2000 pro. Only winnt here.

Think about what Win32 is.

For all intent that's Win95 and up. So far, I look at the pages and I see JAVA code all over.

In the panorama tools pdfpano on the blue page. On the panotools readme there is a path says: win32/ directory/ windows/ (system) folder. How do I find the right folder in 2000 pro?

The System path.

Sadly, I can't tell you what your machines system path is. You will have to look at the output of a command window with the SET command or look at your system variables.

There is nothing in you post to reveal what your machine's installation is like. Windows NT/2000 can be installed on drive letters and in a directory of the users choice, so only you can tell where this is.

Sorry, but this is how it is.

You will have to look at the output of a command window with the SET command/ How do I do this; I don't know.

A command window.

"You will have to look at the output of a command window with the SET command/ How do I do this; I don't know."

Also incorrectly known as a DOS prompt, Start, Run, CMD will cause most NT/2000 machines to present a command line window. Enter the command SET, press resturn and one of the VARIABLES is your system path. Not the PATH, but a system path.

Remember I can't know your installation.

First you have to locate a place to download the Pano Tools. They are not to be found on the site you linked to.

The "pdfpano on the blue page" is a separate program for panoramas in pdf (adobe Acrobat) files. BEFORE it will run the pano12.dll which is a library included with the tools must already be installed.

Go here http://www.tawbaware.com/maxlyons/pano12ml.htm and do a little reading then download and install. What Bob has been hinting at is much the same as what the original site you linked to states at the very bottom of the first page--it is totally dependant on OS support of JAVA and Win 2K supports the JAVA VM as well as Win 9X.

The link I provided includes an automatic setup program to install the tools (again, REQUIRED before you can use the pdfpanorama tool noted on the Helmut Dersch "blue page" . Do please READ everything and make sure you have everything you want and need before getting started.
