Can I unlock this treo and make it work with t-mobile??

Jan 28, 2006 8:52AM PST

Hey,
I was wondering if I can buy a Treo 650 from a local Cingular store that is selling it for about $250 or $300. I currently have T-Mobile and nowhere near my house has the 650's! I wanted to know If I can buy this phone from cingular and then ask them if they can unlock it for me then put my tmobile sim inside of it??

Will That work?
How much so you think it will cost to unlock it?? $300+TAX+UNLOCKING=??

Is there any other options that I have to get a treo 650 for about $350 or $400 on the internet??

Thanks

buy phone from cingular

Hey if you buy the phone from cingular at that price that is with a two year contract and service, If you buy phone out right its alot(about $450) more cingular still wont give you the unlock code untill you have had service for at least six months. And another thing if you do get it unlocked, it will not work with the internet at tmobile. Because cell phone is programed with the software to access at cingular, not tmobile it wont work. So if you beware of buying unlocked phones, you and make and receive calls but you cant us the internet with the phone. P.S. i work at cingular tech support i answer this question all day long.
