can I scan a slave HD with AntiVirus

Feb 2, 2009 10:42AM PST

My HP desktop has a acute problem of BSOD, which keep resarting, and doesn't pause long enough for me to see an error code. Now i have read pretty much everything on BSOD IN YOUR ARCHIVES, but see no solution. Now "safe Mode", & "last good config" when use just simply continue the same loop restart, so i cannot get in to even shutoff auto restart. Is my only hope now is to do new install or is there a one last solution.
If i remove the HD and make it a slave in another computer, would i be able to scan that hd with say: AVG,A2SQUARE,AD-AWARE etc. If yes, how do i do that.
Thanks.
