Can I run a program off of a USB on a tablet

Aug 16, 2012 3:29AM PDT

I need help please. This is my first post, so please be gentle...

I have CD, that I use to study for my national health care boards, that will only work on a WINDOWS based computer.

If I copy this CD to a USB drive, I can insert into another windows based computer and it will work just fine.

I have a MACBOOK pro and an Ipad. I do not want to download any additional software to my MAC in order to run this CD.

I bought a DELL laptop to use while at home, to be able to run the cd and study from it.

Is there a tablet that I can buy, that will allow me to run the program off of the USB?

I do not want to carry the DELL around everywhere in my backpack. A tablet would just be more convienent for me to use while at work, flying, etc.....

Thanks to all who respond!!!

You locked out any solution possible there so it appears you want one of those Windows 7 tablets.

Application written for Windows will only run in windows with an Intel processor. If the vendor wants to write an android version or and Apple version they will have to use the developer tools of that OS. MS has annonced it will release 2 tablets when Windows 8 comes out. One will be a cheaper tablet with an ARM processor and that will run applications that are downloaded from the Windows store. They will release a tablet later with an Intel processor that will run both the apps that Windows desktop and laptops run plus the app available at the Windows store. I'm not sure about Windows 7 tablets if they are Intel based or not.
