Can I record freeview onto my Samsung recorder off my SamTV

by lexus22 / September 27, 2010 9:06 PM PDT

I have a Samsung LE26C450 connected to a SamsungDVD-HR730 80GB but I am having difficulty setting it up to record more than one program off the timer, is this possible? What leads/ports should I be using and should it be able to record freeview?

many thanks for any advice,

Most sets with SCART sockets will have an option for video output. I see this set has only 1 SCART, which may mean you can connect only to the recorder's output (AV1) and not its input (AV2). You might get away with using a SCART splitter to connect both AV ports to the TV, but I doubt it.

To record off the TV Freeview tuner, I think you'd need to connect the TV SCART to AV2 (or to composite input via an adaptor). Then you'd need to connect the recorder component output to the TV component input.

Simplest solution would be to upgrade to a digital recorder or connect a small Freeview STB to AV2 as a recording source.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
