Can I play blu-ray DVD's on my PC (WinXP) using only Windows Media Player 11, or are other codec's required?

And you'll need BluRay player software. If the title installs a "codec" then WMP might work but the way BR/BD is played and the heavy DRM and more I think you should plan on using the BR/BD player software.
