Can I open a project created in MC7 in this new Media 8 prog

I have Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 VCD ed. I successfully created a slideshow and recorded it onto a CD. Then I used DVD creator to make a new longer production, which will not burn to a DVD with this edition. If I purchase Media 8, Can I open this finished production then burn it to DVD, Or do I have to redo the whole thing? CAN ANYONE ANSWER this. THERE is NO way to get this answer from ROXIO. It seems that they do not have an easy to access support system.
