Question

Can I move my iTunes Library to Xbox Music?

Dec 7, 2012 7:33AM PST

I recently got the new windows 8 phone and when I plugged it into my computer after creating an Xbox Music account it automatically imported a handful of songs that are in my iTunes library... I literally did not do anything. I want to get all of my music onto Xbox music so that I do not have t bother with iTunes anymore. Thanks.

I was able to move my files around but I only installed my musiic files in ITunes as MP3 so I could use them as I saw fit. They work in Media Center and XBox too.

Move iTunes videos to Xbox

If you mean itunes purchased movies, they are usually DRM protected and cannot be moved to other media players other than Apple devices. Plus, iTunes M4V format is not accepted by Xbox. So the best solution is to make iTunes video and audio files be compatible with Xbox, e.g.wmv. Hope this can help you one way or another.

By iTunes library you mean both videos and songs, right? Usually iTunes purchased videos are DRM protected, they cannot be freely transferred or streamed to media player other than Apple devices. Plus, iTunes videos are M4V which is not compatible with Xbox. So the best solution to this is make iTunes videos and audio files be compatible with Xbox, e.g. wmv. Hope this helps
