Can I Instal ....

Hi, I have a New ASUS Laptop which came with Win 10 Installed

Can I install a Copy of Win 7 on this laptop, instead of Win 10?

If so, will it be easy to do?
(Not done an instal, before)

Since you omitted the exact model number I'll share the biggest roadblock.

Drivers and the app that controls the WiFi and such.

-> For folks that never install Windows, this and more hurdles await them. Some like drivers mean no unless you are OK without WiFi, sound and the best video settings.

Can you share what you need to change in W10? Most are just used to W7 and some just want the old start menu back. We can fix the start menu with one download.

I am thinking of installing a full retail copy of Win7
and, am told that I can do this but, will, of course
lose everything that is on the compouter.

Yes, we do not like the Start Menu that we have with
our Win 10 system as we cannot find anything such
as the whereabouts of the drives on the computers
(a Box used to come up as so on) .... can't seem to
be able to locate anything and, boy, have we Looked Happy

Have contacted ASUS and, am awaiting a reply from them.

Can you complete your post with the full model number. Otherwise folk can't share where the drivers are. Or if this is one of those that will not run W7.

check asus website for your specific model of laptop, if there are win7 drivers then you will be able to install win7. HOWEVER, you must use a full retail version of win 7. You CANNOT use an upgrade version, one that came with another computer or system builders win7. In addition you CANNOT use any win7 that was used to justify an upgrade to another os on another computer.

So .... this means that I can, if I wish, install Win7 On the Laptop then, yeah?
