Can I format my computer into CentOS only?

I'm having a hard time dealing with CentOS. I need to learn this and also mySQL for work.

Can I install this CentOS only without any windows and vmware/virtual box? I want CentOS to load automatically if I open my laptop. No dual boot please.

Clarification Request
You want it as the only operating system?

Also noted that CentOS doesn't do 32 bit versions anymore, so hopefully your computer will run 64 bit version.

if so, download the ISO file, open an DVD burning program and "burn the image file" to the DVD. Do not burn it as an Audio nor a Data file, but "Image File".

I already have it in my Flash Drive I made it into a bootable one. So what's the next thing to do? Yes my laptop can run 64bit. Its an i7-2670QM and has 8gb ram

there should be an install icon

...on the desktop. If not, look for it in the menu. Be sure to have Secure Boot turned off before attempting install.

So I just boot it then thats it? I can run it as my only OS in my laptop?

sure. why not?

It can be the only OS just like windows is the only OS on many other computers.

Okay then! Thanks James! I'll get back to you tomorrow when I install it.
