Can I download dvd's onto a video ipod.

I was just wondering if you can download dvd's onto a video ipod. I don't have a dvd burner. Do I need to get dvd's onto my computer before downloading it onto my ipod? If so... can I do that without a dvd burner? Thanks.

there are two software suggested.
one is freeware, named videora converter+ DVD Decrypter. First rip DVDs to video formats with DVD Decrypter, then convert created files to ipod video with videora converter.
the other is xilisoft dvd to ipod video/audio converter, one-stop dvd to ipod software. download at
