I can't see where the internet source is. For many, it's part of the cable box.

I am trying to access the Internet with my Samsung Smart TV, wirelessly, without a cable box. The settings say I am connected to my wireless network, but not the Internet. When I check the IP settings, it shows connected... But i can't open any of the Smart Hub Apps like YouTube or Netflix. Any ideas, or is connecting not possible now that I have removed the cable box? Can I not just use the Smart Apps? Looking for any help! Thanks...
