Can i connect via my laptop wirelessly and via ethernet


I am connect via wireless to the internet and i have just purchased a Popcorn Hour A-100, i want to connect the PCH to my laptop so i can stream my saved media to my tv, i dont want to do this wirelessly via the router as my HD content streams terribly,

When i connect the ethernet cable i get the "limited or no connectivity" error and i cant get the PCH to recognize any files on my hard drive??

Can any one help please

If you must do that you would look into enabling ICS on your machine with the wifi continuing as-is and the ICS hosting being on your ethernet. BEWARE that no one can support this so you become a TCPIP guru.

You must know to configure your IP plan accordingly.

Sorry, no, even I don't do this anymore since it turns into a support tarpit. I know not to offer ICS support anymore but for you and what you are asking it's the solution.

It's just that too many want me to write a step by step, blow by blow dissertation. It is now too much to ask since we have ample web pages about this and we must be able to take the direction and suggestion or we shouldn't try this. I hope you understand what I'm saying here.

It's a good solution to your issue but you must dive in.
