Resolved Question

can I change windows explorer startup options?

May 11, 2013 5:48AM PDT

When I click on windows explorer the list down the left side always starts with my documents. I invariably open windows explorer to see what is on the memory sticks I use so I have to scroll down to my computer then click on the drive I want.
I know its just lazy bit isn't that the beauty of the computer, to assist my lazy needs?
Is it possible to change this so that it opens up with the 'my computer' as the first option?

opening windows explorer

thanks,

%systemroot%\explorer /e,/root,

almost does it, it still shows all the directories on the c drive but at least it saves me having to scroll down the page now.
I can find nowhere that tells me how to store this info so that when I click on the explorer icon so it opens up in this way. Putting this into start/run is the only way to acheive it.
I am still looking!
