Can I buy a insurance policy a few weeks after I already...

bought a laptop? I didn't realize how fragile these things were, I never needed one for my desktops.

buy insurance, or you can add a ''Carrier
clause'' to your existing policy that would
cover your laptop. You should submit your
full receipt and see exactly what is covered
and what is not (ie. data) You mention ''how
fragile these things are'' Actually, I would
beg to differ. Many newer laptops can pass
rigorous torture tests including, Extreme Heat,
Extreme cold, certain controlled drops, some
external pressure, and in *some* RARE cases,
even liquid. However, I have found that liquid
is the number one killer, next to a bad drop.
