Question

Can he serve, again?

Mar 10, 2020 9:07AM PDT

I have just received an e-mail, asking if I would support Joe Biden, for VICE president.

Even I KNOW that Mr. Biden served, for eight years, as VICE president.

If he does not win the Presidency, CAN he serve another eight years, as VICE President? Would this be "legal"?

Good question. I'll be watching this space.

At this point BTW the question implies that it's Bernie and Biden as running mates. But Bernie taking The Nomination is supposed to be unlikely.

I'm often accused of [unfairly] trash talking Truth, Justice and The American Way.* Here's ammo for the other side.

Accident? Human intervention? Hasn't happened here.
Yet.

* Fact check: I "trash talk" all of men's governments. With authoritative quotes.

According to Mr. Wikileaks

While the Twenty-Second Amendment sets a limit on the number of times an individual can be elected to the presidency (two), there is no such limitation on the office of vice president,

That would have been my guess too.

To add to my comment, it's somewhat logical, like picking a Veep from the South to add votes to a presidential candidate from the North. Common enough. This would balance an ultraliberal with a moderate.
OTOH Biden could choose Warren for the same reason, plus pick up the females ... bad choice of words. ? (Got a new smartphone with maybe 3 gigs of fancy stuff. I have no idea if any of it ports to the CNET OS.)
