Can connect internet only in Mozilla and IE.

Hello,

I have a strange problem.I can am getting internet only in Mozilla and IE.When I try to connect using other browsers I get a network error.I cant connect to the internet through other softwares like Download Managers,Media Players,etc.Any soloutions for this problem,please let me know.

OS-Windows Vista Home Premium x64
Hardware-HP Pavillion tx2500

Tell us about that firewall...

Chances are your software-based or router-based firewall is blocking the communication, which can happen even if you disable it in some cases. You need to add a rule allowing those applications or uninstall/disconnect the firewall and look for another alternative.
