The Archos 604 is a very good PMP if you want to be able to watch and record video. It is a relatively large player, has 4.3" screen and a hard drive.

The Cowon D2 is indeed neat. It is much smaller than the 604, has 2.5" screen and flash memory.

So these players are very different even before you begin to compare their specs. You need to define you needs and budget in order for anyone to help you better.
BTW, the 604 has another WiFi enabled version which also has touchscreen:

And finally, Archos is about to release their 5th generation line, starting with 605 Wifi which you may want to consider:

Hey i was just wondering is the Archos 604 as good as CNET editor says? Can it function all the programs it has without lacking response time? I was also looking at the Cowon D2 and i find it neat that it is a touch screen. It can also play mp3, video, photo's etc. Does teh D2 have a removable batery like the 604? If so how much does replacement battery coast? Also is there any other portable media player or mp3 like these? Thanks for your time reading my post!
