Try Calc. It's the free spreadsheet from LibreOffice. It's not Excel, so there is no obvious reason why you should hate that also. If you do, tell why.

....that can store my customers contact info..their assigned acct information (I.e email, numbers, etc). I keep finding these fancy crm's that go well beyond what I need an app to do. I would just create an excel spreadsheet but I hate excel.
