Can anyone help with a Sidekick LX 2009?

Up unitl last week, my Sidekick was remembering all my website logins with no problem. I didn't have to keep typing in my user names and passwords every time I went to a site. But then, I made the mistake of clearing my cache, history, and cookies, and now the stupid phone won't remember anything! I have to type in all my info every time. (And YES, I'm checking "remember me.") Google tells me that my browser's cookie functionality is turned off, and wants me to turn it back on. But there's nothing in the Sidekick information anywhere about cookies, except how to clear them, which is what started the trouble in the first place. I found one old-ish discussion that suggested clearing everything, then turning it off and back on, but that didn't work for anyone else in that discussion, and it didn't work for me. I also read somewhere that doing a hard reset might help, but I'll lose all the stuff I've downloaded - and paid for. There has to be a way to fix this without resetting. Does anyone have any advice for me? Thanks so much in advance!!
