by machacha / February 24, 2005 12:10 AM PST

So , When a 2k oor xp client log on to the win2k net, it looks to the pdc emulator or the global catalog? who really log on the client to the network.

2.The client must hve the dns configured aiming to the DC? we hace unix dan and the clients are pointing to them, so that means they will not log on??

3.When the hard disk og th dc that holds the pdc emulator crashed, the users will not be able to log on until I transfer/seize that role????

Thanx to all for the reading.

Diego.

"we hace unix dan", "the hard disk og th dc" and more make this unreadable.

Good luck with whatever you are attempting, but I'd pick a forum that uses your language.

Ok, HEre I go again

So , When a windows2k or a xp client log on to my win2k network, it looks to the pdc emulator or the global catalog?

who really log on(or validate) the client to the network?

2.The client must have the dns configured , and that dns MUST be a Domain COntroller? we have unix dns and the clients are pointing to them, so that means they will not log on??

3.When the hard disk of the Domain Controller (thas hold the pdc emulator)crashed, the users will not be able to log on until I transfer/seize that role????

Immediately I read...

" 2do changce
Ok, HEre I go again"

And promptly I fear its not English. I strongly suggest you find a support forum in your native language."

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
