Can anyone comment on the Sony DCR-HC36 (MiniDV)?

This is the camera I am thinking of purchasing. I realize it is a low-end Sony, but it is just for home vids. I would appreciate any comments from people who have used or heard about this camera.

Thanks!

The HC36

In reply to: Other than the pricing not being current in the article,

Hi, and thanks for your reply. I got to the HC36 simply by price. It seemed to be the highest of the lower-priced miniDV camcorders before the price jumped significantly. More research needed perhaps. And I am still considering hard drive camcorder, but I'm concerned about quality and being able to do simple edits on the computer.

Thanks for the links, I tried reading the first link, but how the hell do you get rid of that horrible pop-up or whatever it is blocking the text?

Read the review, thanks

OK, I got the web page to show correctly, not sure why the side ads were showing over the review text, but they were...

Anyway, that review doesn't have many good things to say about the HC36...thanks for the heads up.
